About Me.
I gained my Level 3 qualification from Sports Therapy UK, one of the top training schools in the UK. The course was led by Tim Paine, a pioneer in the field with over 25 years’ of experience. His expertise and research, along with his book The Complete Guide to Sports Massage, has profoundly influenced my practice.
As an avid sports enthusiast, I have played touch rugby (until injury halted my participation) and have taken part in numerous running races. This personal experience has deepened my understanding of the frustration that injuries can bring to athletes and active individuals.
In my role as a Level 3 practitioner, my primary goal is to prevent muscle fatigue and reduce the risk of injuries. I recommend booking a postural assessment to identify and address muscle imbalances, a common issue for many individuals. My practice is about you feeling the best you can again! I genuinely care about providing the best advice and sorting out my clients’ issues so they feel more comfortable and can get back to doing the activities and sports they love.

‘I have a sudden pain that has came on when I did something and has progressively got worse.’Listen to your body! You have hurt something and I would suggest rest, ice, compress and depending where – elevate. If after a couple of days, it is getting worse please seek advice from your Doctor
-
‘I have sciatic pain can massage help?’Yes massage can help as often it is from a muscle pressing on the nerve.
-
I had a stroke a couple of months ago can I have a massage? The advice is to leave it at least 6 months before a massage. Also, we would require you to obtain a Doctor’s note before we could start treatment.
-
I had an injury and had physio but still feel a bit tight can you help?Yes, as long as you are no longer ‘injured’. Massage is a great way to support healing and avoid further injuries.
-
I have a running race coming up, when should I have a massage? Before or after?Firstly, I would encourage regular massages to form part of your training. And, then it’s good to have one beforehand, but no less than 72 hours before your event, and ideally after the event. I would give your body 48-82 hours to recover or choose a lighter massage if you can’t wait!

I have had a massage previously and it was really painful – worried about this…Please speak to me! Everyone has different pain thresholds – sports massages may be uncomfortable but should not be high pain! Go with 7 out of 10 as a max!

I have had massages before and bruised – is this normalUnfortunately, some people can bruise more easily than others. The massage is breaking up lymphatic fluid HOWEVER it can be caused by too much pressure so it is important to tell me if you are finding the pressure too much!
